I like the clip that holds in the battery down so you dont have to use the battery door to push the battery in and then it brakes after many uses. Sharpened view medium image view large image. Pour yourself a cocktail and enjoy.
Optically, however, the lens is quite slow. Don't know about you, but I'm really miffed about this The F50fd's battery held up sufficiently in use, but it would be wise fujl take an extra cell on longer outings, particularly if viewing a lot of slide shows.
F0fd chimped a lot and shot a fair amount of high output flash shots, and the battery "fuel gauge" display indicated I was running out at about shots. The camera performs best fine;ix the telephoto end of its range, which is nice for a camera geared toward portraiture. That said it's a better designed camera offers superb image quality that puts it near the top of the compact camera tree, and it's fast and has a solid feature set.
The camera is a bit slower than most in this class to power up — it takes about two f5fd to be ready to shoot. It may not be a replacement for a DSLR, but it can complement one well for some uses. It does everything I expected it to do. The default monitor display shows icons indicating image size and quality, shots remaining on the memory source, ISO sensitivity, stabilization mode, shooting mode and battery level. It very easy to use and with the 12 mega pixels I get good everyday candid photos.
