My other computer, a laptop, is inconveniently in for repairs today, so I can't check it on that. Sorry this didn't help. The wizard begins to download driver but stops part way through and a message appears that says "Windows It uses the Windows preloaded drivers.

I tried to follow the steps you suggested by no "compatability" tab appears.

This is on a desktop, not a laptop, and no amount of extra shoving of the plug into the slot in the back of the computer seems to make any difference! No apparent right-click option to 'activate', unless I'm looking in the wrong place! This thread is locked.

Jinic Replied on May 20, When I did plug it into the laptop before, it still didn't show up in Windows Explorer, but I wasn't aware of the 'Devices and Printers' thing then. However I had initall trouble to get Windows to recognize that the the card reader was connected.

From what I know, all USB devices don't have a driver that can be manually downloaded. Please answer these questions, which will help us in assisting you better. New to the forum!

Thanks for marking this as the answer. I unplugged it, plugged it back in, and it did show up in Devices and Printers, but still not in Windows Explorer.
